In partnership with the CO-OP Shared Branching Network, Effective May 1, 2025, IDCheck will be required for members using an out-of-state ID to complete in-person transactions at shared branching locations, ensuring an extra layer of security for your accounts.
What is IDCheck?
IDCheck is a secure, seamless identity verification tool designed to protect your account from unauthorized access. This new process helps confirm your identity before completing transactions at participating Shared Branching locations.
How to Use IDCheck
To ensure a smooth transaction, preload your state-issued driver’s license into the IDCheck app before visiting an out-of-state Shared Branching location. Get started now at IDCheck by COOP (Portal opens May 1, 2025.)
If you haven’t set it up in advance, no problem! Simply scan the provided QR code upon arrival at the branch and follow these steps:
- Obtain a member verification code.
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Upload photos of the front and back of your government-issued ID (stored for future use).
- Take a selfie for identity verification (also stored for future use).
- Receive a one-time verification code (valid for 20 minutes).
- Provide the verification code to the teller.
- Complete your transaction as usual.
What If I Can’t Get a Verification Code?
If you’re unable to generate an IDCheck verification code, don’t worry! The teller may still be able to verify your identity using alternative methods.
This added security measure helps ensure that only you have access to your account, providing peace of mind while using shared branching services.
