Payroll Deduction / Direct Deposit

Payroll deduction and direct deposit offer you the most convenient way to deposit money into your accounts or to make loan payments. Check with your payroll department to see if you can take advantage of this service. It is easy to sign up for Direct Deposit and only takes a few minutes. For Social Security and SSI check recipients, go to www.GoDirect.org or call the Go Direct Hot Line at 1-800-333-1795.

Insurance

As a Chiphone member you qualify for group dental insurance through Group Link, Inc., A Flexident Primary Dental Insurance Plan with Orthodontia. Payments can be automatically deducted from your account.

Cuna Mutual Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance - Additional coverage is available for selected premiums. Chiphone members are eligible for $1,000 of Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance. Premiums for this basic coverage will be paid by your credit union. There is no cost to you but in order to put your coverage in force, you must complete an enrollment form.

CUNA Mutual Group- Home & Auto Insurance. Cuna Mutual Group provides quality insurance products such as automobile, homeowners, boat owners, motorcycles, RVs, and more.

Credit Life and Disability Insurance-Payment protection plan to protect your good credit rating even though your income is lost. Credit Life and Disability provides you with a payment and lifestyle protection plan giving you peace of mind.

Long Term Care-Planning ahead for your future care. Includes Home Health Care, Adult Day Care and Respite Care.

Premium Value Protection-Mechanical breakdown insurance with superior coverage. It provides coverage for repairs on most parts and labor. We have the solution for worry free driving.

Drive-Up Services

Drive-up teller lanes are available at each Chiphone location. This is for your convenience.

Night Drop boxes are located at each branch. Access is available through the inside drive-up teller lane. Deposit envelopes are available. Transactions deposited will be done by the end of the next business day.

Overdraft Protection

Each draft account is automatically set up for overdraft protection. If the funds are not in the draft (checking) account when a check tries to clear, the funds will automatically be transferred from the share (savings) account to clear the check with a $5.00 over draft fee.

Overdraft Advance

In addition to Overdraft Protection Chiphone offers Overdraft Advance. This service allows you to overdraw your account up to $300. This provides you with a cushion when needed. Current overdraft protection arrangements will remain as they are. Overdraft Advance will only be activated if there are insufficient funds available from your other account (s).

Safe Deposit Boxes

Safe deposit boxes are available for rent at our Elkhart and Nappanee location. Annual rental fees are deducted from the share account automatically on July 1^st of each year.

Financial Planning Services

Chiphone offers Traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs and Educational IRAs. IRAs can be opened through transferring of funds or qualified plan rollovers. Scroll down for Investment Services through Members Financial Services.

Family Membership

Chiphone offers a full range of financial services available to you and your entire family. Starting with the youngest member of your family to the oldest.

Stork Club - Babies born throughout the year. Chiphone deposits their first $10.00 and a keepsake gift is given to each newborn.

Jr. Saver’s - Savings accounts for children age 1-12. A Jr. Saver's membership card is issued upon opening the account. As deposits are made, the teller will stamp the card. When the card is full the Jr. Saver can come to claim a prize from the Chippy Treasure Chest.

Teens - Accounts for kids ages 13-17. Saving and informational brochures are available in our lobbies.

Sr. Citizens - Many services are provided free or at a discount for our retirees.

Cashier's Check

Cashier’s Checks are available at the teller windows. Casher’s Checks are guaranteed funds. They can be issued in any amount.

Money Orders

Money orders are purchased at the teller windows and can be written in amounts up to $1,000.

Traveler's Checks

Chiphone has three different types of American Express Traveler’s Checks available. You can purchase the single Traveler’s Checks or the Traveler’s Checks for Two. Also available are the Traveler’s Checks Gift Checks.

Wire Transfers

Chiphone provides a money wiring service. We can wire money to any financial institution in or outside of the U.S.A. We also accept money wired in from any institution as well.

Notary Services

Chiphone has a Notary Public at each of our branch locations. We also offer signature guarantees at our corporate office.

24 Hour Services

Chiphone’s Call 24 gives you 24-hour phone access to your account. This is a free service giving you access to your balances via your telephone. You can make transfers, balance your checkbook and even check savings and certificate rates. This can be set up for you at our Member Services desks.
